Portfolio Manager is a personal stock portfolio management system with the aim of being a complete stock trading diary. With minimal time and effort you can keep track of which stocks you have bought and sold, along with any associated dividends.

Pros: This application tracks every stock of one’s portfolio and manages the information about its value, gain or loss, overall profit/loss in real and percentage terms. It can even track daily variations and act as trade diary. Not only you get a quick overall picture so that trading can be done successfully but come the tax time it’ll have consolidated information required at that time. One does not have rummage through a pile of data and try to reconstruct whatever happened during a year. Saves you quite a bit of expense towards accountant’s fees.

The simple, intuitive design makes Portfolio Manager easy and straightforward to use. Immediately after the portfolio details have been loaded one knows exactly what the picture is. Multiple purchases / sales of a single stock are displayed as both a consolidated or grouped transaction as well as separate transactions to give you a clear indication of how your stock is performing. Individual details are available on the tabbed interface under open trades, history and watch-list. The details can be configured by the items one wants to see.

Statistics are also collected for both of these lists to give you an instant indication of how your open trades are performing as well as the closed ones giving a overall performance over the year.

The open trades list gives you details of all stocks that you currently hold on a single screen, such as the days change, last price, quantity you hold, price you paid, cost, profit, percentage profit, annual profit etc. The history list includes all the stocks you held for the specified financial year, giving you slightly different information such as buy/sell price, brokerage, dividends, profit etc. Both these lists are completely configurable to display only the columns that you require.
